The White Hart in Ashill dates back to the mid 1800’s and for a time Ashill boasted three pubs, The White Hart, The Crown and the Three Horseshoes.

Following a fire which destroyed the old pub, the Hart was rebuilt in c.1938 in its current form. Extensive refurbishment took place in 2010 and for 10 years the pub operated under the name of McTaggarts.

In October 2020 the White Hart reopened under it original name as a Free House.

Along with a warm and friendly atmosphere, a great choice of draught beers and home cooked food awaits. The pub is a hub for the local community as well as offering a great place for visitors to stay and to enjoy the local surroundings.

We are also dog friendly!
